بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمدلله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين
سُئل الشيخ ابن عثيمين رحمه الله :

ظاهرة تنتشر في القرى خاصة بعد عودة الحجاج من مكة .. كل سنة تقريباً ، يعملون ولائم يسمونها " ذبيحة للحجاج " أو " فرحة بالحجاج " أو " سلامة الحجاج " ، وقد تكون هذه اللحوم من لحوم الأضاحي ، أو لحوم ذبائح جديدة ، ويصاحبها نوع من التبذير ، فما رأي فضيلتكم من الناحية الشرعية ، ومن الناحية الاجتماعية ؟

فأجاب رحمه الله :
هذا لا بأس به ، لا بأس بإكرام الحجاج عند قدومهم ؛ لأن هذا يدل على الاحتفاء بهم ، ويشجعهم أيضاً على الحج ، لكن التبذير الذي أشرت إليه والإسراف هو الذي ينهى عنه ؛ لأن الإسراف منهي عنه ، سواء بهذه المناسبة ، أو غيرها ، قال الله تبارك وتعالى ﴿ وَلا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ ‏﴾ ، وقال تعالى ﴿ إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوا إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ ‏﴾ ، لكن إذا كانت وليمة مناسبة ، على قدر الحاضرين ، أو تزيد قليلاً : فهذا لا بأس به من الناحية الشرعية ، ومن الناحية الاجتماعية .
